You can get here by following the bright yellow signs from the main road which lead you across the western side of town to its location on the river. The size of the place seems overly ambitious for a town like Sekong, but nevertheless they offer villas and guesthouse rooms in a building with a gravelly circular driveway, in addition to a restaurant and karaoke bar on the river. Despite the facilities, the lack of business makes the place desolate and the rooms smell like they ve been sitting around unused for far too long. Taken together, the remoteness of the location, the lack of atmosphere, and the fact that the rooms are only fairly decent, don t conspire to give the place much to recommend it. The guesthouse rooms are spacious, but feel vacant, and have only cold-water showers.
