Like Captain Fitzwilliam Owen, the first to chart Georgian Bay, The Fitz Hostel is charting new territory as the first and only hostel on the Bruce Peninsula.The Fitz offers dorm and private room options with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. The hostel is centrally located in the village of Lion’s Head, steps away from the beach, amenities, and right on the Bruce Trail and the Niagara Escarpment. The Bruce Peninsula is a little patch of land that juts up between Georgian Bay and Lake Huron, about halfway between the Equator and the North Pole, and about halfway up the Bruce Peninsula, The Fitz is right on the Bruce Trail and the Niagara Escarpment, and steps away from Georgian Bay. Lion’s Head is about 250 km northwest of Toronto and about 50 km south of Tobermory, which marks the tip of the peninsula and home to Bruce Peninsula National Park and Fathom Five National Marine Park. The Fitz Hostel has three rooms - one private double room and two 4-bed shared dorms. The three rooms share a bathroom with two shower stalls, two toilet stalls and two sinks. Guests have access to a fully-equipped kitchen, BBQ, campfire pit, paid laundry facilities and bike rentals.
