The hotel has been carefully modernised and retains its authentic external appearance, similar to a country manor. It was built as a steam train hotel in the Victorian period. The large entrance, the wonderful staircase, the open fireplaces and the wood panelling create an inviting atmosphere of a past era. The spacious restaurant and the lounge bar offer a fantastic view of Loch Linnhe. As the hotel is situated at the top of the hill with panoramic views of the town of Fort William and the Loch - it may be challenging for those guests with walking difficulties as the return journey is all up-hill.
