Location Located in the centre of the city, yet amid the maze of small gullies that is old Udaipur, Shree Jagdish Mahal is about 2 minutes away from the Jagdish Temple. Located at Jadiyo ki Oll, it is 14 km from the airport, 3 km from the railway station and 2 km from the bus stand. Shree Jagdish Mahal is a large haveli converted into a hotel and offers a delightful exterior, being a treat for the eyes. This heritage property boasts of colourful, intricate carvings and hand paintings on the exterior structure and doubly bright, ethnic interiors. Being true to Rajasthani styles, it offers an old world charm. It is 250 years old and is a unit of Nagar Seth Ri Haveli Hotels Private Limited. The hotel lobby is a spacious area and is tastefully decorated with Rajasthani artifacts and interiors. The walls showcase some lovely hand paintings and the bright colours jump out at you - making this a lively space. On the left of the entrance is the wooden reception table while on the right is a seating space with armchairs upholstered in maroon cloth. Flowers in vases punctuate the area. Further in, there is an open space in the centre of the lobby with wooden benches surrounding a bare centre. Rooms The hotel has a total of 21 air conditioned rooms which are categorised into 4 Deluxe rooms, 10 Luxury rooms and 7 Suites. The Suites are the highest category and are much bigger on comparison to the other spaces. The facilities common to all the rooms are cable television, intercom, room service, running hot and cold water and study table. The rooms preserve the old world charm in the form of furnishings and decorations that are centuries old. Original Belgian glasses that were imported in the 18th century still adorn the windows and fading frescoes of elephant processions and what not grace the walls. The furniture is all old style four poster beds, thick doors, antique lockers and generous mirror work on the walls. Even the floor is worn and old - yet charming - with original gutai work. The Suites comprise a living room, a lobby with two extra beds and a master bedroom. The living room has sofa chairs and a jharokha to sit in. the master bedroom is roomy with a low four-poster bed, cable television, intercom, chairs and another seating option in a jharokha. The washroom us humongous, all inlaid with marble, and a separate toilet cubicle. There is a granite topped wash basin here too and round the clock running hot and cold water. Each Suite room has a distinct look, and varying layout. Some have traditional baithaks, living rooms, with low seating. The Deluxe rooms are single bedded with a jharokha seating. Amenities include cable television, intercom, a large mirror and a sofa chair. The washroom is spacious and similar to the suite washrooms. The Luxury rooms have a small study on entering with luggage rack and an antique wardrobe, bedroom and washroom. The bedroom has four poster bed, two chairs with a coffee table cable television, a large mirror and intercom. The washroom is spacious and clean. Dining & Facilities The restaurant is on the top floor with row after row of painted glass, carved arches, thick doors and ornate mirror work on the walls. Multi cuisine fare is served here and the staff is willing to accommodate the timings according to the guests' preference. The restaurant has an open air section as well, very pretty with white, carved enclosures to sit in that look over to the lake and the rest of the beautiful city.
