We are family owned first boutique hostel in Riga. We created Bunka by merging the best things from hotels and hostels - in the end we created a perfect space for travelers who don't want to lock themselves in a lonely hotel room, like to meet other people, but who also value their privacy and cleanliness. The building is located on a small street in old Riga. On Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays some rooms could get a bit noisy at night, but its part of OldRiga life. We are located in penthouse of 5 floor building. Sorry - no elevator, but our place is best described by Led Zeppelin song lyrics Stairway to heaven - the view You will get here is not comparable to any other.Traditional Latvian food place is just downstairs! Cool bars as well. From our street you can see Daugava river and have a wonderful walk or bike ride along the river. There are 11 rooms in Bunka - they all can be locked. Every room has real bed (160cm, 140cm or 90cm wide) with orthopaedic mattress, table, mirror and hangers for clothes. Showers are shared, but because we have only 11 rooms - there is never line up for showers! Plus girls have one more extra shower (sorry guys ;)! Kitchen is set up that you can make your morning omelette - fridge and cooking plates are there, as well as cutlery and basic kitchen stuff. There is big common space by reception, with TV, as well as small nooks where to hide and plan your next trip, enjoy coffee or have a talk with your travel partner or some other guest.
