Hakuna Matata! We live by this Swahili phrase which means 'no worries'' and take the same approach to our family-run hostel - a bamboo-clad home converted to accommodate budget travelers on look-out for a local experience. Our rooms are basic and small but we keep it clean and comfortable in the best way we can. Located in the center of El Nido town, we are close to the beach (facing Cadlao Island), the restaurants, and shops. Coffee, tea, and drinking water is FREE. Looking forward to staying with us? Please be reminded of our No.1 Rule: NO SMILE, NO CHECK-IN! IMPORTANT: (1) If in case your booking request could not push through this website - which means we are fully booked - please feel free to drop by our hostel when you arrive in El Nido. There can be changes in our availability. (2) Our hostel is not for everyone. We keep our humble abode simple and very basic. The building is an old house, made of wood and bamboo; thus if you're are looking for 5-star amenities, there are a lot of other options in El Nido. :-) Our place is designed for people who are looking for no-frills accommodation and wanted to maximize their budget on going out and about for what El Nido has to offer. (3) WI-FI in the hostel is not available at the moment since most days it is not working anyway due to congestion of internet usage in El Nido. Therefore, we opted to not include this for now instead of claiming to have WI-FI that isn't really working! :-) (4) Although power-cuts often go un-announced in El Nido (and usually lasts up to 1 hour or more, mostly in evenings), we do not use generators because using one would cause unbearable noise in the premises and could be impossible for guests to sleep at night! As an alternative, we provide portable lamps/flash lights, mosquito nets, and abaca fan when the power goes off. We hope all these information helps. Thank you!
